Ok, everybody. This is Lindsey’s Public Service Announcement about OCD. Because too many people have been making stupid remarks about it lately.
THIS:
People with OCD generally:
- Have repeated thoughts or images about many different things, such as fear of germs, dirt, or intruders; acts of violence; hurting loved ones; sexual acts; conflicts with religious beliefs; or being overly tidy
- Do the same rituals over and over such as washing hands, locking and unlocking doors, counting, keeping unneeded items, or repeating the same steps again and again
- Can’t control the unwanted thoughts and behaviors
- Don’t get pleasure when performing the behaviors or rituals, but get brief relief from the anxiety the thoughts cause
- Spend at least 1 hour a day on the thoughts and rituals, which cause distress and get in the way of daily life.
Is fucking OCD.
You are not OCD because your room is clean.
You are not OCD because you hate grammatical errors.
You are not OCD because you fold your clothes neatly.
YOU ARE NOT OCD BECAUSE YOU’RE NEAT OR ORDERLY.
So, for real, STOP IT. OCD is a serious mental illness that affects people. And when you flippantly say “My room’s so clean. Lol, I’m so OCD,” it trivializes what those people go through. SO CUT THE CRAP, K?

I didn’t know “trans*” was a gender now.
Why would you want to publicly out yourself like that all the time? That’s really dangerous and stupid. Those people who will see this don’t need to know your trans status.

Oh, I’m not an MRA. I post MRA things but I’m an egalitarian. Neither of which are reasons to put yourself in danger like that. And no one’s asking you to be ashamed of yourself, just to take care of yourself and not put yourself in unnecessary danger.

one of my best friends just came out to me as trans*, and he believes no girl will ever want him because he doesn’t have male genitals. can you please do me a favor and reblog this to show him he’s wrong? he really needs a confidence boost, guys.
If this is the only way he can get a confidence boost he needs to expand his universe a little.
